Aloha! I'm Kela. I was born and raised on Maui, then moved to Kentucky where I worked in specialty coffee for 10 years. It was there that I discovered how incredible coffee could be and found a passion that married my ambition for excellent craftsmanship and the joy of engaging with people through intentional hospitality. I started as a barista, then trainer - which evolved into Head of Education. I loved making coffee and teaching people how to make coffee!

I had the privilege of moving home in April 2025 to be closer to and care for my family. I love the people of Hawai’i and have dreamed of opening my own shop here for years.

Having Hawaiian heritage and growing up on the island, my heart is for our people. I hope to become a company that offers not just jobs, but fulfilling careers that support the community and other local businesses. I want to do something that is fitted for the people who live here. My desire is to care for them and be a place that grows alongside the community, to honor and represent the values that make our culture so beautiful and warm:

Lōkahi - unity / harmony / the community working together for the greater good

We are still in the very beginning stages and can't wait to start serving coffee!
